SHORT TERM SEASONAL, PART-TIME Late April thru early June

• Must be 16 and older (as of January 1, 2024).
• Honest, reliable, energetic, hardworking, punctual and well-groomed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting customers in the greenhouse: getting down Hanging Baskets, directing to find plants, retrieving carts, restocking benches.
• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit.
• Bag or box purchased plants and merchandise.
• Meet customer needs; make sure they feel welcomed and appreciated. Help answer any gardening questions they may have (or direct them to another staff member to answer).
• Cash Handling Experience preferred
• Good math skills.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts. Prior commitments, such as school, may be worked into your schedule, however, it is essential that you are able to work weekends late-April through early-June.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to get along with others as a team member and work independently.
• Although every consideration for comfort is taken, we do have to work in ALL weather conditions. Be equipped to work in heat and cold, sun & rain, sometimes snow! 
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job- Able and willing to do physically demanding work. (No gym membership needed!) We try and make work as entertaining and fun as possible. However, be prepared to get dirty and/or wet. Physical tasks include, but are not limited to: bending, stooping, lifting, sweeping, pushing and pulling carts, wagons and hoses.

FULL TIME SEASONAL

•  Must be 18 and older (as of January 1, 2024)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assembling & Filling containers.  
• Planting and moving Nursery Stock & Perennials.
• Loading customers vehicles with bagged products, bulk products and plants.
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Able to get along with others as a team member and work independently.
• Although every consideration for comfort is taken, we do have to work in ALL weather conditions. Be equipped to work in sun, heat, rain, snow and cold. However, the few days of bad weather are greatly outnumbered by the beautiful days.
• Able and willing to do physically demanding work. (No gym membership needed!) We try and make work as entertaining and fun as possible. However, be prepared to get dirty and/or wet. Physical tasks include, but are not limited to: bending, stooping, lifting, sweeping, pushing and pulling carts, wagons and hoses.

SHORT TERM, per diem. 

We have an influx of material to transplant in April at unpredictable times. We are looking for 2 to 3 people to supplement our team at these times, mostly during the week; some weekends if necessary. The right person could continue work through busy season as Customer Service in the greenhouse!

Requirements include but are not limited to:
